New to RBC?

Welcome to Rostrevor Baptist Church (or ‘RBC’ as we like to call it). We’re so glad you’re with us.

We’re a vibrant multi-generational, multi-cultural church who loves God and loves seeing people meet Jesus for the first time. We meet together weekly for a worship service (9:30am Sundays English and Korean services, 1:30pm Sundays Chinese language service and 2pm Tuesdays Traditional service). We also run various ministries, programs and events week to week.

Explore our website to find out more about us. If you want to reach out or connect in, you'll find helpful links on the Hub Online page, or you can contact us directly, and we'd be more than happy to have a conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

When you first arrive, you'll see our welcomers on the door. They're there to help you if you have any questions about where to go or what to do.
A Sunday morning service goes for about 1.5 hours. We start by singing a few songs together, led by a band on the platform. We do this to give thanks to God and remember who He is and what He's done for us. Some people close their eyes while they sing; some hold out their hands. You're welcome to engage as much (or as little) as you like.
After these songs, someone will bring a few announcements about what's happening in the life of the church. Then there will be a brief bible reading and a 20-25 minute talk from a pastor. This talk will unpack the bible reading, helping us to understand what it's saying to us today. We seek ground our talks in the Bible while being engaging and relevant. We're confident the talk will have something meaningful in it for you.
The service finishes with a couple more songs. After this, you're welcome to head home or stay around for a coffee and chat.

You don't need to dress up.
Most people dress casual. Jeans and a t-shirt would fit in well.

We're confident you won't.
RBC is a multicultural church with people from all walks of life and all ages. There's usually around 300 people present on a Sunday morning, including guests and visitors. It's easy to blend in - whether this is your thousandth time in a church or if you've never been before.

Definitely not.
How much you engage with the church is up to you. If you want to come in a few minutes late, slip into a back seat and then leave before the end of the service, you're welcome to. Or, if you'd like to speak to a pastor or find out more about the church, you can pass your details on, and we'll get in touch with you. But we'll never pressure you to do so.
During the service, we'll remind RBC regulars of the ways they can donate to the work of the church. But there's zero obligation for anyone to do so. The service is free.
